About Galle Silva

Galle Silva SRL is the group's operating company in Romania, headquartered in Mănești, Prahova county. We provide timber harvesting, timber purchasing and log transport, and sell firewood in Prahova, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Galle Silva brings the experience of the German Galle GmbH group to Romania. Founded in 1990 in the Elbe-Elster district (Brandenburg, Germany), Galle GmbH has been active for over 30 years in forestry services, landscaping, composting and soil production. Over time it has modernised its machinery fleet and developed its forestry services division, growing to a team of around 38 employees.

The group works to high environmental standards: it is certified with the RAL quality marks for forest management and for composting, as an authorised waste management company, uses biodegradable hydraulic oils and harvests timber in fully mechanised operations, also making use of the residues (tops and stumps) as energy wood.

In Romania, Galle Silva takes on this experience and these standards and applies them locally — focusing on forestry services and firewood in Prahova, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Galle Silva applies in Romania the procedures, controls and principles of the Galle group: modern machinery, work done right, complete documentation and respect for the forest. FSC and PEFC certification is in progress.
